Monthly Sale: 20% off all Red Wine & Italian Whites

06/01/15

We made it to summer! Now that it’s finally hot, it’s time to keep your cooler fully stocked with your favorite craft beers and summer wines! We’re still offering 20% on 3 or more rose’s in addition to our monthly sale of all red wines and Italian whites. We have some thirst-quenching, summer-y, grilling reds to offer and it’s a great time to branch away from Pinot Grigio and explore the many other options in the vast array of Italian white wine varieties.

Things to look for this month:

  1. Grand Rose’ Tasting (first ever!) and 25% off Sale: Saturday, June 27th from 1-4 at our Upper Falls and Post Road locations.
  2. Release of our custom barrel-aged cider from Bantam. We aged their Wunderkind cider in our Cask Force Hill Rock Double Rye barrel. It’s ready and it’s tasty!
  3. Summer beer! Shandy’s are so hot right now. They’re so refreshing and they’re hitting the floors in all locations.
  4. 2014 Bordeaux Futures! We passed on doing futures the past few years since the vintages in Bordeaux haven’t been that great but the reviews and praise for the ’14’s are stellar; and the prices have seemed to drop 25-40% which is a great sign. We’ll be sending a detailed email out this month with more info on how to order futures.
  5. And of course some incredible wines of the month below…

gobelsburger
2014 Gobelsburger Rose’
This bottle may look familiar. It was one of our number one sellings rose’s last year and it’s by the glass in the city’s top restaurants. The 2014 Gobelsburger Rose’ is from Austria and made from Zweigelt, St. Laurent, and Pinot Noir. It’s light and refreshing with a pleasantly dry strawberry note and slight effervescence. Don’t let the bottle shape or the lesser-known grapes steer you away; this rose’ drinks like some of the best from Provence! On sale this month for $11.98 net.

breadandbutter
2012 Bread & Butter Mission Ranch Reserve Pinot Noir
The 2012 Bread & Butter Mission Ranch Reserve Pinot Noir was a huge email success back in February and we finally got some more in stock! This is the single vineyard offering or the “big brother” to the wildly successful, entry-level B&B Pinot. It received 91pts from Parker and it’s on sale for less money than the regular Pinot (until it’s gone). Clean notes of blackberry juice, black iced tea and graphite. It’s spicy, bright and juicy once sipped, proving very refreshing, and a great example of the stripped-down wine everyone talks about making. On sale for 12.98 per bottle.

mija
Mija Sangria is the new brand just launched from the 90+ Cellars group. Unhappy with the pre-mixed Sangrias in the market, the genius marketing team created their own bottled red Sangria made from sourced red wine (their specialty) mixed with 100% all natural, unfiltered pomegranate, acai and blood orange juice. No artificial preservatives added either. Homemade taste in the bottle! An incredible new product that’s perfect for summer. Only $9.99 per bottle.

bourgogne
2012 Matrot Bourgogne Blanc
The grapes for this Chardonnay are picked just outside of the appellation of Meursault. In fact, new oak barrels are used during fermentation of this wine to break them in for the prestigious, more expensive Meursault to sit in. Medium-to full bodied, golden and round with loads of apple and pear fruit with just a kiss of oak spice. A sensational value for an entry-level Burgundy. On sale this month for $17.98 net.

olivares
2014 Olivares Rose’
From Jumilla, Spain, this unconventional rose’ is made from Monastrell and Syrah. As you can see, it’s much darker in color and takes on a whole new personality from what you’d expect from rose’. Still refreshing, dry and crisp, this wine has more weight and body than most traditional rose’s. It has darker, red fruit flavors like pomegranate, cranberry, and acai berry and can stand up to a grilled steak on a warm summers night. On sale for only 9.98 net.
